No referral is required to start your therapy with us. Schedule a session directly via our website using the “Book Now” button, contact us at (604) 283-4600, or via email at info@bloomingcounselling.ca. A complimentary 15-minute intake consultation is available to explore how our services can support your family’s needs.

The first session focuses on building rapport, discussing confidentiality, and assessing your and your child’s concerns to establish therapeutic goals. This foundational session sets the stage for your ongoing therapeutic journey.

We provide sustained support, recommending weekly or biweekly sessions initially for 6-8 weeks to foster effective progress. Depending on your needs and progress, we may adjust the session frequency.

Standard sessions last 50 minutes. Extended sessions for deeper discussions are available and can be scheduled through our online booking system.

Yes, we specialize in a broad range of issues affecting children, from neurodiversity and behavioral challenges to anxiety, attention deficits, and social or emotional difficulties. We also offer comprehensive family support, including parenting sessions.

While families are our direct clients, we actively collaborate with schools to better understand and support your child’s needs. We engage with teachers, may conduct classroom observations, and share strategies that facilitate your child’s progress, all as needed and with appropriate consents.

Our services are often covered under extended health plans and employer benefits that include Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC). While direct billing isn’t available, we provide detailed receipts for insurance claims. Check with your provider about coverage, including potential eligibility through programs like CVAP and ICBC.

Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid fees. Late cancellations or no-shows are charged accordingly.
